Challenging Learner Behaviors - Do We Need New Approaches to New Behaviors?


Learning and Development professionals are responsible for ensuring classrooms and virtual spaces are conducive to learning. What happens when disruptive behaviors show up? Are old approaches still effective? What has the current landscape informed us about the individuals participating in learning?

During this session we will discuss challenging learner behaviors in the live classroom and virtual space. We will explore best practices and possible new strategies to foster a positive learning experience for everyone.

Facilitator: Thasheena Cutno, M.Ed.


Experienced Organizational Development (OD) professional with a history of working in the healthcare, non-profit, academic and corporate industries. Thasheena has 15+ years of demonstrated experience and expertise in Leadership Development, Team Development, Workplace Coaching, Employee Engagement, Onboarding, Professional/Career Development, Program Design and Delivery, Change Management and Strategic Planning. Thasheena has her Master of Education (M.Ed.) focused on adult learning and development.

She has spent her career developing, implementing and integrating organizational development initiatives, along with learning and development programs to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.

Thasheena is also a certified practitioner in CliftonStrengths, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Taking Flight with DISC and Prosci Change Management.
